About the house
11 Abbot Road is an Edwardian villa in a quiet part of Bury St Edmunds. It was originally built in 1906 in what was then a peaceful rural lane on the outskirts of the town.
The garden extended down to the valley of the river Linnet, and included acres of orchards and gardens, earning the house its original name of 'Fairyland'. Today the garden is smaller but the house still retains the magical charm of the period, now updated to offer the comforts of the 21st century.
Some of the facilities on offer are:
- plenty of secure parking
- easy access to the town centre and the A14
- a large garden - pick your own apples and plums in season!
- peace and quiet
- covered bicycle storage
- washing and drying facilities (small extra charge applies)
- ironing board and iron
Please feel free to contact us with any questions or special needs you have.
We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful house!
